“We will build off the good work your project is doing through various supportive activities such as promoting and supporting a results-oriented culture via change management, aligning aRBM with IsDB strategy and leadership support as well as ensuring work-plans are more actionable and oriented towards impact,” Nwokediuko was quoted as saying in the statement.

This is in addition to improving performance metrics becomes a shared priority for all stakeholders besides reviewing and adapting policies to boost aRBM and process efficiencies.

“Your project has been shortlisted as part of our early adopters: pioneers in understanding what aRBM approaches work for you and similar projects because we realized the strong commitment of Kano state government to this project (KSADP), Capable implementation partners and the potential to test a holistic aRBM approach”, the team lead emphasized.

In his remarks earlier, Sabi’u Auwal from the Abuja Hub, Islamic Development Bank, explained that the consultants were recruited to ensure effective management system for the KSADP, which he described as a flagship project for Nigeria.

Thus, he emphasized the need for accurate data regarding the project to be collected and the visibility of all interventions enhanced for all stakeholders to see, pointing out that putting in place a good aRBM will help to achieve the desired results.

The State Project Coordinator, KSADP, Ibrahim Garba Muhammad, who was happy that the aRBM has come as a supportive mechanism, expressed optimism that it would help in ensuring the sustainability of the project.
The aRBM launch, which was interactive, was unanimous in highlighting that areas such as human capacity building, strong monitoring and evaluation mechanism as well as a Communication Strategy were essential in achieving the set target.

The meeting was attended by the KSADP PMU, officials of the Kano State Ministry of Agriculture, KNARDA, SAA as well as representatives of ICRISAT and IITA.
