Fire has gutted VAVA Furniture, located along Murtala Muhammad Way in Kano metropolis.
Eyewitness told BizPoint that the fire outbreak occured around 10:30 am on Wednesday, adding that goods, worth millions of naira have been burnt to ashes.
According to the eyewitness, who works at a nearby office, it took over 30 minutes of the razing fire before fire fighters arrived the scene.
“Let me tell you that more than 70 percent of the building has been razed. The fire is too much but fire fighters are here trying to put it off,” the eyewitness said.
He however said no building was affected, adding that it is not yet ascertain if there is casualty in the incident.
As at the time of filing this report, fire fighters are working to put off the inferno.
The eyewitness also said some handful of goods that are not affected by the fire are currently being evacuated from the building.
Bizpoint recalls that Baffi Furniture shop that neighbors VAVA Furniture was also gutted by fire early this year.
