Hafizu Kawu, member, House of Representatives, representing Tarauni Local Government constituency in Kano state, has scheduled s two-day training on poultry farming for 1000 women and youths.
Speaking in a a phone interview, Kawu told BizPoint on Sunday that the training is part of efforts to eradicate poverty and empower women and youth in his constituency.
He explained that the training is meant for 300 women and youths, adding that there is also cash donation as statup capital, aimed at empowering them to become self reliant and cushion the effects of economic hardship.

He said that interested applicants had to obtain application form free at Hafiz Kawu Ibrahim constituency office, located at farm centre, adjacent Marhaba cinema, Kano, adding that the application was closed since Thursday, October 13.
The lawmaker pointed out that the gesture is the continuation of the goodies that he has been offering to the constituents, stressing that he would bring more projects that would empower them.
