The United States, through the U.S. Agency for International Development, USAID, has provided one million Dollars for humanitarian assistance to support the people affected by unprecedented flooding in Nigeria.
U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Beth Leonard, while facilitating with Nigeria for the flood victims reiterated the United States continues stand with the people of Nigeria during the difficult time.
USAID disaster experts said they will continue monitoring the flooding in close coordination with , Nigeria and humanitarian partners, to assess needs and determine if additional assistance is required.
