The Jigawa state Internal Revenue Services (JIRS) incollaboration with Jigawa tax justice and governance platform promised to do all their best to improve tax services in the state.
The promised was made by Jigawa Chief host of the platform comrade Muhammad Abdu Dutse during a two-day training on Grievances and redress mechanism (GRM) for JIRS staffs, SERVICOM, and citizens groups held manpower Development Institute Dutse.
He explained that, looking at current economic challenges there is need for putting more effort toward improving internally generated revenue which can only be achieve by creation of mutual understanding between the tax payers and tax collectors.
According to him, the training aimed at sensitizing and building capacity of state tax authority towards strengthening grievances redress mechanism.
He added that, the training will also help the participants to assess and identify gaps in existing tax framework and Internal control measures towards strengthening and improving tax administration as well as to build a formidable internal control measures for tax justice.

While making his remarks, the executive chairman of Jigawa Internal Revenue Services (JIRS) Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmad commended the platform for organizing the training.
He said, the present administration in the state, introduce new policies that brought a lot of development Al changes including the amendment of tax law, single treasury account, use of remitter, disputes resolution mechanism that increase more transparency in the tax Services.
