Fire outbreak has hit a popular grocery market, Singer, in Kano state on Tuesday.
The incident, according to a trader in the market, Jamilu Zubairu occured around 9am when activities had already commenced in the market.

According to Zubairu, the fire had caught a large canteen inside Nazim House where biscuits and sweets are sold.

He said fire fighters had already been deployed and are putting the inferno under control as at the time of filing this report.
