Hafizu Kawu, member representing Tarauni Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives has assured that reconstruction project of Court Road up to Naibawa Yan katako is set commence.
BizPoint reports that the road, which links Court Road, Karkasara, Darmanawa and end at Naibawa Yan katako by Zaria Road has been in diplorable condition for years.
Motorists had since dodged the road, which is about 3km long, as residents of the area raise concern about the sorry state of the road.
But, briefing journalists during 2022 Dialogue Series, organized by Kano Correspondents’ Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, in Kano on Sunday, Kawu said the project would commence sooner than later.

According to Kawu, a former aide to Vice President on Economic Matters, the road reconstruction project would gulp the sum of N2.6 billion.

He explained that the project, which is in two phases, would start from Court Road to AKTH junction at the rate of N1.3 billion, while from there to Naibawa Yan katako is at N1.3 billion.
“Apart from this, a road construction work at Karkasara Janbulo has commenced and it will link to Sallari up to Dan-tsinke. Then from there, it will link up to Masallacin Murtala.
He assured to provided good road network across the Tarauni constituency in a bid to boost socioeconomic life of the people.
“All these roads and other developmental projects are part of my constituency projects which i facilitated within my first tenure as representative of the good people of Tarauni constituency.

“I facilitated this road projects in conjunction with Ecological Fund. I have executed over 50 projects in the area of infrastructure, education, health and human development.
“I have passed three bills, which include bill for establishment of University of Agriculture in Tarauni Local Government, Establishment of Federal Medical Centre in Kano, among others. All the bills have passed third reading and waiting for presiden Buhari’s assent,” he said.
“I have provided block of classes at all the wards in my constituency. In fact, i have built a while school in one of the wards.
“I have done a lot for my constituency so far. I have executed over 50 projects and will do more if I’m elected for the second term in the upcoming election,” he added.
