The Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has described the Central Bank of Nigeria’s e-Naira policy as a step forward towards restricting naira note circulation.
Emir Bayero made the assertion while receiving the delegation of the CBN, led by its Director in charge of Kano branch who paid him a courtesy call at his palace on Tuesday, according to Abubakar Balarabe Kofar-Na’isa,
Chief Press Secretary to Kano Emirate Council.
The statement said the monarch noted that the e-Naira policy would go along way in “minimizing unnecessary spending as well as mutilation or squeezing of the naira note in the country”.
