Movement for the Support of Good Governance, MSG, has urged the Independent Hajj Reporters, IHR, a Civil Society Organization engaged in bringing reports on Hajj and Umrah worldwide to establish a radio station and newspaper for more enlightenment and information about the the holy exercises.
The group made the call through its Secretary-General, Alhaji Dauda Mohammed Ali in a chat with the IHR correspondent in Kano on Wednesday.
Ali, while commending IHR, also said that millions of people rely on the Hajj Reporters for genuine stories about Hajj and Umrah related activities since its inception.
He commended IHR for giving usual updates about Hajj and Umrah operations.

“MSG wishes to announce that the Independent Hajj Reporters remains the best channel for the general public in getting best news related to Hajj and Umrah and how the Hajj operations are going on every year.
“We hope that IHR would establish a radio station as well as a newspaper that would circulate at newsstands, especially at this moment,” He urged.
Ali added that IHR would continue to be respected because they are doing great in sourcing and circulating genuine domestic and international stories related to Hajj and Umrah, and commended the national coordinator of the CSO, Ibrahim Mohammed for his professionalism in coordinating the organisation’s activities.
“We also wish to thank the National Hajj Commission Of Nigeria (NAHCON) for institutional cooperation between the Hajj and Umrah stakeholders and solicited more to IHR, which he said is playing a vital role to the successful annual Hajj operations,” he said.
