The Executive Secretary, Kano state Pilgrims Welfare Board, Muhammad Abba Dambatta has announced that the airlift of Kano pilgrims will begin on Thursday, May 25.
Briefing Journalist on Friday, Dambatta explained that the first batch of airlift will fly to the holy land aboard Max Air, beginning with 550 pilgrims from Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano to King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah.
The Executive Secretary said the airlift would hold few hours after the inaugural flight, expected to take place in Abuja with Nasarawa State Pilgrims.
Dambatta said the second and third batches would depart on 27th and 29th May on board Max air.
He urged the intending pilgrims to be ready for the trip, appealing to them to be law abiding and good ambassadors of Kano and Nigeria while in the holy land.
