Some concerned commercial drivers in Kano state have formed an association for offering driving services to private individuals, corporate organisations and institutions in the state.
BizPoint reports that the association, named Hannu da Yawa Maganin Kazamar Miya Drivers Association, was formed by like-minded drivers in order to reduce poverty among them.
Situated at Farm Centre area, the association comprises of retired and serving commercial drivers, who decided to form an umbrella to offer driving services to the society, aimed at boosting their socioeconomic status.

The newly-elected Chairman of the association, Bashir Danlami explained that the mission and vision of the new association is to introduce a new form of driving services in conformity with modern system.
According to him, they decided to come up with the association with the aim of boosting the livelihood of the members as well as modernizing driving services in the state and making the members be self-reliant.
He also explained that any driver that wants to join the association should go to their office and register, adding that the registration is done with the signing of two guarantor and a district or wars head.
Danlami called on wealthy individuals and organizations to engage the association for driving services, assuring that its members are responsible, not drug addicts or reckless.
BizPoint reports that the association had honored some individuals in order to gain recognition in the state.
