The Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin has approved the appointment of Professor Shehu Abdullahi Ma’aji as his Senior Special Assistant on skills acquisition.
A letter signed by the deputy clerk to the National Assembly, Mr. Kamoru Ogunlana said that the appointment takes effect from June 13.
Mr Kamoru Ogunlana said that the appointment of Professor Ma’aji was based on merit and experience.

Professor Ma’aji was a member of an academic staff of Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger state.
He managed several national and international projects aimed at introducing sustainable educational and training innovations.
With over 25 years in academia and consultancy experience around the world, Professor Ma’aji has developed the expertise in programme evaluation, measuring and evaluating, designing, developing and implementing customizable training programmes for availing competent workforce in various occupational areas namely education and manufacturing sectors of the economy.
“Professor Ma’aji is convinced that the future of Nigeria is here for us as an institution.
“He is currently on leave of absence in Dangote University of science and technology, Wudil, Kano state,” the statement concluded.
