Angry protesters have reportedly attacked the Digital Industrial Park, DIP, of the Nigerian Communication Commission, NCC, in Kano state on Thursday.
The centre, which represents northwestern region of Nigeria, is due for commissioning on Wednesday, August 7.
The ICT Park consists of laboratories for ICT innovations and Commercial Hubs providing capacity building to ICT startups and entrepreneurial activities in the North West.

It was gathered that the protesters in their numbers invaded the ICT park and started breaking the offices.
Inside sources said the state-of-the-art equipment, worth billions of Naira installed at the center were carted away by the hoodlums.
Some of the equipment looted include computers, AC, chairs, tables, solar batteries and panels, among others
It was also gathered that the generator room at the center was reportedly set ablaze.
The sources said the center, was established to deepen the federal government ‘s digital economy by training young Nigerians on digital entrepreneurship.
“The centre is in each of the six geo-political zones of the country. This one that has been attacked is for northwest region.
“They unfortunately attacked the place. The centre was established to deepen the digital economy project. It is a hub to hatch young digital entrepreneurs,” the source said.
