The Kano state’s Refuse Management and Sanitation Board, REMASAB has debunked media reports that its staff have not been paid their outstanding salaries.
The Managing Director of the board, Haruna Ahmadu Zago, inna statement in Kano on Monday, said the agency is committed to ensure prompt payment of salaries of its personnel, but must undergo biometric data capture exercise.
Describing the allegation as baseless and untrue, Zago noted that those alleging non payment are not official staff of the board.

According to him, the board had since commenced biometric data capture exercise to the staff, lamenting that the agency is facing challenges as many of the personnel provide different account details from their own.
“Those allegations were untrue,we have commenced Biometric Data Capture of All our staff both the Askarawan Kwankwasiyya and those that were carried over from the previous administration ”
” Even though we are facing some challenges from the part of the personnel’ because some brings different account numbers that did not tally with their account numbers”
” Many of those who were alleging that that they have not been paid are not official staff of REMASAB, and any person who knows that he was officially employed and was not paid ,should come to the agency with his documents for proper screening,” he said.
The Managing Director of the REMASAB said since the inception of the administration of governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Agency is committed towards ensuring effective sanitation of the metropolis and other LGA’s of the state.
Zago noted that measures have been taken to ensure prompt and timeline payment of the salaries of the personnel,and urge them to accord all the necessary support to Governor Abba Kabir Yusufs Administration.

The Managing Director maintained that the agency has procured all necessary working tools and equipments and had already distributed to it’s staff ,saying they have since started working with the working tools .
” Even in our stores we have surplus of these working tools ,anyone who wants to verify can come to our office we will show him” he added
The statement urge the people of the state to disregard all the allegations been spread by some online media outfits who spread false and misleading information about REMASAB.
