The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, has announced a new strategy for the Hajj Induction Course (BITA).
He made this announcement today during the official closing ceremony of the weekly training program in Gwarzo, according to statement by Sulaiman A. Dederi, Public Relations Officer of the board.
Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa explained that the decision was made in consideration of the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, allowing intending pilgrims to stay at home and avoid unnecessary movement.
To facilitate this, the board has collaborated with radio stations to air special programs featuring Hajj Induction Course teachers.
He said the initiative is aimed at educating intending pilgrims on Hajj procedures via radio, ensuring they benefit from the training while observing Ramadan.
He urged the pilgrims to use this sacred period to intensify prayers for the success of this year’s Hajj operation and to pray for the Kano State Government under the leadership of Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusif, who has been providing the necessary support for the pilgrimage.
Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa also called on the pilgrims to adhere strictly to all rules and regulations set by the Saudi Arabian authorities, especially the NUSUK card, which contains all essential information about the pilgrims.
Speaking on behalf of the Hajj Induction Course teachers at the Gwarzo center, Malam Bala Kayyu expressed gratitude to the board for its continued support and contributions to the pilgrims in the state.
Dignitaries present at the official closing ceremony included the Director of Hajj Operations, the Director of Administration and General Services, the Director of Hajj Mobilization, the Director of Planning, and the Director of Special Duties.
