The newly established Kano State Advertisement and Signage Agency, KASA, has revealed that it has set a target of minimum of N5 billion revenue by 2027.
The Director General of the Agency, Kabiru Dakata made the disclosure while fielding questions from newsmen in Kano on Thursday.
Mr Dakata disclosed that the agency is targeting N1.5 billion as revenue for the last three months of 2025.
According to the pioneer DG, the two-year revenue collection target involves collecting N3 billion in 2026, and N5 billion in 2027.

Mr Dakata explained that “by 2028 during the second term of His Excellency Abba Kabir Yusuf, we would be collecting N10 billion annually.”
The DG explained that the target is achievable as it is going to be based on an advertisement structure rate set up by the agency, based on the provisions of the law that established it.
“Our revenue target for the remaining months of the year 2025 is N1.5 billion, that is for the remaining three or four months.
“In 2026, we are targeting N3 billion naira. That is the minimum we are targeting. By 2026/ 2027, we have set up the target at N3 billion minimum.
” This is a simple arithmetic. The law says If you have an advertisement structure of this size, you pay special amount of money. Ours is just to say okay, how many of this do we have in Kano? So, we just calculate the money based on the number of the advertisements.
“One beautiful thing about the law, it considers, you know, the locations of the of the structures and the prices vary,” Mr Dakata explained.
He said the agency which was established by the government to regulate outdoor advertisements, would soon commence operation.
“Even though KASA is a new agency established by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to regulate outdoor advertisements and we are going to use both enforcement and revenue collection”.
He said part of the enforcement was to ensure that the State outdoor advertisement signage post do aligned and comply with the rules and regulations of the agency.
“On the enforcement aspect any violations of our guidelines would attract punishment of one month impressment, three months community services, or payment of fines ranging from N100,000 to N500,000”.
